Love, the defining characteristic of God. The Bible describes no other in this way.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:44
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails. I Corinthians 13:7-8b
God’s nature is love. This must be our standard.
